Silas Dwayne Adams, age 50 of Haleyville, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, Alabama. Dwayne was born on April 28, 1974 to John Adams and Edith Mann. He was an avid outdoorsman who was helpful, generous, and humorous. Dwayne was a family man who took pride in his grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, December 22, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville where the Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Greg Chappell officiating. The burial will be in Mountain Home cemetery in Bear Creek. Dwayne is survived by his son, Carter (Brooklyn) Adams; daughter, Katelynn Adams; brother Dwight (Tammy) Adams; granddaughter, Everleigh Steien; grandson, Bentley Steien; nieces and nephews, Susan (Patrick) Blansett, Kayla (Bretta) Adams, Jonathan (Tiffany) Adams, Hunter Campbell, Cade Campbell, Daisha Campbell; and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John T. and Edith Adams, sister, Trish Kilpatrick; grandparents, Silas and Lena Mann, John Quincy and Ruth Adams. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request that donations be made to Nichols Funeral Home to help cover funeral expenses.
