Sidney Athern Tesseneer, 90, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Dennis, MS and was a steelworker at Reynolds Metals for thirty-four & one-half years. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Marines.

Services will be Friday, November 8, 4 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Micah Fleming and Bro. Billy Nichols officiating. Visitation will be Friday, November 8, 2-4 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery, Dennis, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Williedean Renfroe Tesseneer; daughter, Janet Parker (Michael); two sons, Jeffrey Tesseneer and Sidney Joseph Tesseneer; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Evie Tesseneer; a sister, Martha Lee Underwood and three brothers, Cullen Tesseneer, David Tesseneer and Howard Tesseneer.

Pallbearers will be Kolby Bragwell, Kaleb Bragwell, Parker Watts, Jason Parker, Brandon Tesseneer and Braxyn Tesseneer. Honorary pallbearers will be Casey Hall and Stetson Hall.
