Mrs. Sibyl F. Marks, age 95, passed into the keeping of our Lord Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013.
Born in Mississippi, she made her home in Florence from the time of her marriage. She was a long-time member of Northwood United Methodist Church and Eastern Star.
She is survived by her son Jerry Marks; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters; two brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Marks was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Marks, and a son, Larry Marks.
The funeral service will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at North Wood United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Reding officiating and Jeff Hornbuckle offering a solo. Visitation will be in the sanctuary from 2-3 at the church. Burial will follow at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Elkins Funeral Home, Florence, is assisting the family.
