Shooting In Sheffield Leaves One Dead; Suspect Charged With Manslaughter

UPDATE:  Kelvin Malique Weakley 25 years of age, from Florence, Al. is charged with Manslaughter. He will be transported to the Colbert County jail with bond set at $50,000.00 The investigation is still on going.

SHEFFIELD-Sheffield Police Chief Ricky Terry issued a press release on the shotting that took place i at the Blake Apartments on Thursday evening, April 21:

“On April 21st, 2022 at 9:19 P.M. Officers were dispatched to Blake Apartments in regard to a shooting in progress.

Dispatch advised officers that there was a female with a gun shot wound to the neck. When officer’s arrived they found the victim, Alexandra Lashay Robinson, twenty five years old, of Sheffield deceased outside of the apartment complex.

Police also located the suspect on scene and was transported to the Sheffield City Jail for questioning. This is an ongoing investigation.

The Police Department will give further information as the investigation progresses.”
