MADISON COUNTY–The Madison County Sheriff’s Department issued a statement on a shooting that took place on Sunday, July 5 where one person was killed:
“On July 5, 2020, just after midnight, MCSO deputies responded to a shooting scene in the 100 block of Cloverbrook Drive in Harvest. During this incident, one black male was found deceased in the roadway from a gunshot wound to the chest. One suspect was later apprehended by investigators and booked into the Madison County Main Facility where he was charged with Capital Murder. Investigators determined the victim was shot from a vehicle that was occupied by the offender. After consulting with members of the Madison County District Attorneys Office it was then determined the offender would be charged with Capital Murder.
The suspect is identified as Montae Trevius Corbett, 18 yrs. of Harvest. The victim is identified as Keelan Andrews, 38 yrs. of Huntsville. Investigators believe the motive of the shooting stems from an altercation over fireworks.
Montrea Trevius Corbett, 18, was arrested and charged with Capital Murder with the overnight murder of Keelan Andrews, 38, of Huntsville. His bond is currently $75,000. .”
