THE SHOALS-Next month, hundreds will come together in Florence to show their support for those battling Alzheimer’s and dementia in the Shoals Walk to End Alzheimer’s®. The Alzheimer’s Association is encouraging North Alabama residents to gather friends, family, and coworkers to create teams to support these efforts.

The Shoals Walk, set in Florence, is Sunday, September 15 at McFarland Park. The route is two miles and a very easygoing walk. Show your support by wearing purple that Sunday. Downtown businesses are also invited to decorate their storefronts purple the week leading up to the Walk to unite in fighting this disease.
