THE SHOALS – Chamber Ambassadors and friends congregated Thursday at The Children’s Museum of the Shoals to welcome it back as a Member. the museum had been closed for a while for some reorganizing and refurbishing. In the midst of all the Chamber members, children and their parents were enjoying all the nifty things to do at this unique attraction for the Shoals.
Here is what Courtney Hooper, Children’s Museum Director, had to say: “The Children’s Museum of the Shoals is excited to announce the reopening of “A River Runs Through It” Tennessee River exhibit. Our new and improved construction features a stone appearance, new murals, more shoals, and a functioning lock and dam.
The exhibit was made possible by many generous and talented people of our community to whom we owe much gratitude. You will find these names listed in the exhibit.
All of our exhibits are open for your viewing. If you would like to sponsor an exhibit or are interested in in-kind services, please see the director or a board member.
Thank you for your show of support by attending our open house!
