It’s with a broken heart that we announce the passing of our loving Nana (Noni), mother and friend, Shirley Windsor. She entered eternal rest on Tuesday, February 6 after an intense battle with undiagnosed abdominal pain. She was born and raised in Albertville and turned 90 years old on September 10, 2023. Our sweet Nana will be remembered for many wonderful things but her kindness was what absorbed us all. She loved her family, cooking, babies/kids and her Baptist faith the most.

She is survived by her son Rick Windsor, grandchildren, Bridgett McCrory (Tom), Heath Windsor (Karen) and great-grandchildren Elliot (12), Max (10), Amelia (9) and Jackson (8), two sisters, Elaine Shell and Faye Holland.
She was also a grandmother by choice to Erin Stewart and Olivia Adams, as she had just that much love to give.

Nana was predeceased by her parents Earl and Geneva Mitchell, husband Malton Windsor and son Bruce Windsor.

Visitation will be held at Adams Brown Funeral Home (6906 US Hwy. 431, Albertville, Alabama) on Thursday, February 8 at 2023 at 4:30pm, with funeral service held at High Point Baptist Church on Friday, February 9, 2023 at 10am and burial held at Rainbow Gardens in Rainbow City afterwards. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.

On Tuesday our sweet, sweet Nana went to be with Jesus and we know she is rejoicing with her parents, brother, husband, son and friends. We miss her more than words can express but know we will embrace her again. Until then sweet Nana…
