Mrs. Shirley Wilburn Dreitzler Mrs. Shirley Wilburn Dreitzler, age 83 of Arab, Alabama, Departed this life peacefully in the early hours on Friday, June 5, 2020.
Mrs. Dreitzler, one of 8 children, was born on February 10, 1937 in Madison County, Alabama to the late Marion Jackson Wilburn and Hessie Zonnie Presley Wilburn. Shirley was employed by Buffalo rock Bottling Company in Huntsville, Alabama as their Accountant where she later retired her position to focus on the little things in life that brought her joy and happiness. Mrs. Dreitzler enjoyed life to the fullest and loved partaking in many different hobbies such as; Traveling, Collecting Dolls, Crafting & Knitting, and her beloved dog Misty. She was a member of the Gilliam Springs Baptist Church in Arab, Alabama.
Mrs. Dreitzler is survived by her Husband of 36 years; David Robert Dreitzler; brother-in-law, George Williams; grandson Ryan Dale Beaverson (Sara); great grandchildren, Andrew, Jackson and Sarah Kate Beaverson; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents; Mrs. Dreitzler is preceded in death by her son, Randy Eugene Hooper; brothers, Bobby Wilburn and Dewey Jackson Wilburn; sisters, Novella Wilburn-Carter, Ruthie Wilburn-Williams, Idella Wilburn Johnson-Smith, Ruby Wilburn-Potter, Louise Wilburn and Mary Wilburn-Chisholm.
A visitation for Mrs. Dreitzler will be held at the Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Monday – June 8, 2020 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday – June 8, 2020 starting at 1:00 PM at the Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel and burial to follow service at the Gilliam Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Jamie Pruitt, officiating
Pallbearers will include; Ryan Dale Beaverson, Andrew Beaverson and Paul Yant.
Honorary Pallbearer; Jackson Beaverson
Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, Directing.
The Dreitzler Family would like to give their uttermost appreciation to; Elaine Boone, Terry Byrom, Kayci Dixon, Miranda Loveday and Starla Grier for caring for Mrs. Shirley during her last moments with them.
