Heaven’s Angels came June 22, 2023, to rescue Shirley Tucker Cheatwood, of Florence, from the ravages of Dementia. Today Shirley is celebrating a new body with family and friends who preceded her in death; notably, son, James (Butch); father, J.P. Lovelady; mother, Rilla Lovelady; sisters, Joyce Tucker and Patricia Hurlbert; and brother, Bobby Lovelady.
Family meant everything to Mama Shirley. Survivors include, husband, Bill Cheatwood; sons, Mike (Cathy) Tucker and Ricky (Kim) Tucker; daughter-in-law, Kim (Tucker) Medley; step-children, Leesa (Tim) Fallon, Mike (Pam) Cheatwood, Nicole (Mike) Neal; grandchildren, Sara (Chad) Quinn, Ben (Rebekah) Tucker, Andrew Tucker, Lauren (Dre) Tucker, Matthew Tucker and Megan (Will) Alexander; great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and sister-in-law, Martha Lovelady.
Visitation will be Monday, June 26, 2023 from 9-11 a.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
