Shirley Sue (White) Polk, of Jasper, passed away Friday, January 22 at Brookwood Hospital in Birmingham at the age of 81.
She was preceded in death by her father, James G. (Bud) White, her mother Verdie Lee White, brothers James White, Marcel White and Ray White; sisters Eunice Cobb and Doris Haynes; and daughter-in-law, Lisa Black Polk.
She is survived by her Husband of 65 years, Eugene (Gene) Polk; Sons Randy (Mary) Polk and Jeff Polk; Grandchildren Stephen (Brooke) Polk, Patrick (Sarah Gray) Polk and Andrew (Ann) Polk; Great Grandchildren Caroline Polk and twins Hunter and Bryce Polk. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends too many to number. Special thanks to nephew Scottie White, who constantly kept in touch with her in the last few years.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 26,2021 at 10:00 AM. The service will be held at 11:00 AM at Collins-Burke Funeral Home.
Service to be conducted by the Reverend Jerry Boyd, assisted by Reverend Joe Daniels.
lnternment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery immediately following the service.
