Shirley M. Nunley, 86, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024 at her home. She was born on November 20, 1937 in Ohio to Ira and Mary Opal Leis Wilkins. For many years she worked at Blue Bell and Schnadig Furniture. She loved working in her flowers, gardening and her two pups, Sassy and Smokey. She truly loved her family.
Funeral services will be Sunday, August 25, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Patrick Brooks officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, August 25, 12-2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS. Burial will be in Dennis Memory Gardens. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her children, Theresa Timms, Stevie Ivy (Kathy), Regina Barnett, Dolen Nunley (Kandie) and Kenneth Ivy (Marsha); grandchildren, Jessica Jackson (Tim), T.J. Timms (Marley), Lee Barnett (Amber), Codey Nunley, Dalton Nunley (Hannah) and Madison Brooks (Logan); great-grandchildren, Chloe Boyd, Paisley Boyd, Kennadie Timms, Delta Nunley and Remi Brooks and a sister, Betty Scobey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Nunley; a daughter, Linda Sue Ivy; a great-grandson, Jason Nunley and sisters, Bonnie Jenkins and Ann Hill.
Pallbearers will be T.J. Timms, Dalton Nunley, Tim Jackson, Lee Barnett, Logan Brooks and Codey Nunley. Honorary pallbearer will be Hunter Lawrence.
