Shirley Louise Allums, age 80 of Warrior, passed away November 7, 2022. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Harvey Joe Allums and her son Terry Allums. Shirley is survived by her children, Leeland Allums, Denny Allums (Mary) and Angie Burgess (Mark); grandchildren, Jordan, Jacob, Holly, Kaitlyn, Haley, Lindsey and Seth; several great-grandchildren; brother, Al Lewis as well as a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members. Shirley was a wonderful and loving wife and mother. She gladly devoted her life to her family. She was a member of Adamsville Church of God where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Shirley was a talented artist with the gift of writing poetry. She also enjoyed woodworking and making arts and crafts with her husband. She also enjoyed raising houseplants and had a special love of raising palm trees which she shared with her son, Denny. Shirley was deeply loved and will be deeply missed. Services will be held at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, November 10, 2022. Visitation from 1-3pm in the New Horizon Memorial chapel with a graveside service and burial following in New Horizon Memorial Gardens. Bro. Buddy Sparkman will officiate.
