Shirley Lenz Mitchell, 83, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023. In keeping with Shirley’s wishes, there will be no memorial services. She will be interred at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery.
Shirley was a native of Colbert County and a member of Highland Park Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Harold L. Mitchell; parents, Richard and Rockye Blue Lenz; siblings, Edna Virginia Lenz, Jesse W. Lenz, Racine Lenz Pace, Johnny Lenz, Ruby Lenz, and James Lenz.
Shirley is survived by her children, Leighann Mitchell Throneberry (Mike) and Gregory A. Mitchell; granddaughter, Chandler Paige Throneberry; and siblings, Mary Kate Lenz Mayfield, Gail Lenz Murray, Kathleen Lenz Vandiver, and Ricky Lenz.
