Shirley Joyce Nabors, 77, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023, at her home. She was born October 22, 1946, in Harrisburg, Arkansas, to John Chester and Ruby Emmons Moore. She graduated from Itawamba Agricultural High School. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She retired from Lane Furniture after 21 years. She enjoyed cooking, going to good yard sales, and she especially enjoyed being around her family.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 6, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Rickey Bowen and Bro. Allen Martin officiating. Burial will be in the Walton Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Samuel “Eric” Nabors (Jennifer) of Amory; one daughter, Lisa Nabors Wigginton of Tucson, AZ; one brother, John Chester Moore, Jr. (Melissa) of Fulton; three sisters, Betty Wheeler of Fulton, Helen Mayhall of Tuscumbia, AL, and Patricia Courtney (David) of Fulton; four grandchildren, Samantha Wigginton, Jerrett Welch, Faith Suddieth, and Katie Suddieth; a special niece, Dana Christian of Skyline; several other nieces, nephews, and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sammy Gus Nabors; two brothers, Delvin Moore and Billy Moore; and her parents.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Christian, Josh Christian, Sam Moore, Brian Pollock, Thomas Pollock, and Barry Turner.
Visitation will be Monday from noon until service time at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
