Shirley Jean Woolum, 70, of Florence, Ala., passed away Aug. 26, 2013, after an extended illness. Mrs. Woolum was retired fromĀ General Motors.
Survivors include sons, Tony Woolum, of Carlton, Mich., Matthew Woolum and Angie Morris, of Florence, Ala.; daughters, Charlotte (Bobby) Scott, of Killen, Ala., Elizabeth (Richard) Fenech, of Emmett, Mich.; sister-in-law, Alene Gamble, of St. Joseph, Tenn.;
three granddaughters; and three great-grandsons; numerous nieces; nephews; and cousins.
Mrs. Woolum was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Mattie Lee Gamble; and her husband, Norman Ray Woolum.
Visitation for Mrs. Woolum will be today from 5-8 p.m. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Rickey Greene officiating. Burial will be in Emmaline Stutts Cemetery. Family will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to especially thank Alacare Hospice and the employees of Gentivia, Dr. Felix Morris and all who came to visit their mom during her illness.
