Funeral for Shirley Jean Sparks, 78, of Hillsboro will be Thursday, July 14, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Reverend Oscar Ray Gray officiating. Burial will be in Morris Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sparks, who died Monday, July 11, 2016, at her residence, was born Saturday, April 23, 1938, to Silas Daniel and Lillian Terry Daniel. She was a member of True Holiness Apostolic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Sparks; one son, Guy G. Sparks; and her parents.
Survivors include three sons, Johnny Ray (Anita) Sparks, Rodney (Bonnie) Sparks and Delmer Sparks; brother, Billy Wayne Daniel; four sisters, Margrette Hurst, Wanda Terry, Vickie Lauderdale and Shelia Pearson; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
