Funeral service for Shirley Jean Howard, 78, will be Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Gunter and Bro. Virgil Crisp officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Howard died on Monday, December 14, 2015 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born May 13, 1937, in Wayne County, Michigan, to Clayton Hugh Knight and Violet Eulala McCage Knight. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, where she taught Sunday School, was in the Missionary Society, served as the church secretary and was the leader of the Young People’s Society. Mrs. Howard was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorial contributions be made to Alacare Hospice.
