Shirley Jean Gilliland Geeslin went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, AL. She was born February 24, 1938 in Jasper, Alabama. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She was a good Christian woman who enjoyed listening to her gospel songs and reading her Bible. She was the manager at Walker Memory Gardens for over 20 years along with her husband and daughter. After her retirement she loved to travel with her husband and friends. She also enjoyed going to church and cooking for her family. After her husband passed away she moved in with her loving sister, Doris Sanders, where she lived until her passing.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel, with burial at Walker Memory Gardens. Bro. Don Kimbrell and Bro. Gary Kimbrell will officiate.
Mrs. Geeslin was preceded in death by her Husband-Alton Geeslin; Parents-A.W. and Mildred Gilliland; Brother-Donald Gilliland; Sister-Tommie Soley; Grandson-Patrick Lynn Geeslin.
She is survived by her Son-Terry Geeslin (Cherie); Daughters-Tammy Drummond (Russell) and Trenia Palmer (George); Sister-Doris Sanders; Grandchildren-Stacie Geeslin, Houston Geeslin, Jacob Geeslin, Laura Dobbins (Brad), Tarah Williams (Mickey), Josh Williams (Madison), Andrew Palmer (Gracie), Wesley Williams (Melanie), Trent Brannon (Hannah); Great Grandchildren-Brodie Geeslin, Brantley Geeslin, Henlee Dobbins, Kaden Williams, Bailey Wilson, Jaxon Williams, Hadley Williams, Jadon Williams, Bentley Williams, Scarlett Williams, Wyatt Palmer, Kinsley Williams, Krimson Brannon and Wyleigh Palmer.
Pallbearers Wesley Williams, Trent Brannon, Houston Geeslin, Jacob Geeslin, Kaden Williams and Bailey Wilson.
