Shirley Gene Maze Holman was born in Hartselle, AL on January 26, 1947. She left this world on December 5th, 2020.
She is preceded in death by her husband of nearly 50 years, Herman ‘Tunk’ Holman: her beloved parents, Mabel Mitchell and James Maze; and her sister, Edith Agner.
Mother was the oldest of six sisters – Janice Feher of Pulaski, TN, Violet Alexander of Harvest, AL Ellen Nance of Decatur, AL, and Annette Cannon of Pulaski, TN. Her brother, Jerry ‘Spencer’ Maze lives in Florida. She had 3 biological childre3n. James Wright of Ohio, Loretta Holman Stinnett of Madison, and Frances Holman of Huntsville. She was also step-mother to Mary Wallace Osborn of Danville, Herman Wallace of Trinity, and Tom Wallace of Athens, AL. She was blessed with grandchildren whom she adored, David Wright, Frederick Scheuermann, Holly and Brandon Wallace. She had many children and grandchildren of her heart that she called ‘her babies’. We loved her with our whole heart.
Services for the celebration of life are as follows: Visitation at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home from 6-8 pm Wednesday evening, December 9th. Covid protocol will be in place. Graveside service at Gatlin Cemetery at 2pm Thursday.
