Shirley G Mayo Shirley G. Mayo, 73 of Huntsville, AL passed away on July 20, 2022.

Shirley grew up in Sandy Hook, Kentucky and also lived at various times during her life in Colorado and Texas before settling in Alabama.  After many years in Alabama, she married Brad Mayo and moved to Huntsville.  She has spent her life raising her children, and loving each grandchild and greatgrandchild that came into her life. She was and remained a very loving and humble person throughout her life and was loved by all who knew her.

Mrs. Mayo was preceded in death by her father; Rullie Gilliam, sister; Louise Peters, brother; Jerry Gilliam and step daughter Christie Mayo.

She is survived by her mother; Hazel Gilliam, loving husband of 17 years; Bradford J. Mayo Sr., her children; Kenny Wright, Betty Jo Zangel, Patty Sue Vargo, Johnnie Andrew Johnson,  step son; Bradford J. Mayo Jr., 15 grandchildren; Elizabeth Wright, Ashley Nichols Lamon, David Elam, Hannah James, Faith Cagle, Justin Chaney, Kasey Wright, Amber Chaney Benford, Magan Chaney, Kaitlyn Johnson, Joseph Storie, Jacob  Sparks, Justin Mayo, Jessica Mayo, Jacob Mayo, 14 greatgrandchildren; Logan Wright, Lily Kastberg, Kylee Sparks, Gracie Storie, Natalie Chaney, Layla Chaney, Stella Chaney, Finley Benford, River Wright, Kyler Wright, Kasey “Trace” Wright, Rylee Lamon, Mckinley Lamon, Trenton Lamon, sisters; Phyllis Bays, Tammy Moore and Mary House; brothers, Calvin Gilliam, Johnny Gilliam, David Gilliam, and Sammy Williams.

Shirley and her husband are members of the Rock Family Worship Center in Huntsville.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 24, 2022 beginning at 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm.  Funeral Service For Mrs. Mayo will begin at 3:00 pm
