Funeral service for Shirley Frederick Curtis, 83, of Decatur will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00PM with Rev. Benny Sivley officiating. Burial will be at Burningtree Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 12:00PM to 2:00PM prior to the service at the chapel.
She was born November 5, 1939 in Boonville, Mississippi to Ira Frederick and Estelle Aldridge Frederick. She passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Decatur Morgan Hospital.
She was a member of Decatur Baptist Church for more than 20 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Howard Curtis, her parents, sister, Helen Norman, and brother, Charles Frederick.
She is survived by her daughters, Tonya Thompson and Sandra Moran grandchildren, Montana Thompson, Sierra Thompson, Neisha McDonald, and Cody Moran, great grandchildren, Alex McDonald, Maggie McDonald, and Micah Moran.
