Shirley Deane Smith Cooper – Obituary

Shirley Deane Smith Cooper, 76, passed away December 6, 2012 after a brief illness. Mrs. Cooper was a teacher’s aide for many years at Rogers High School. She was also an avid fan of the Roger’s Pirates. Mrs. Cooper was a member of the Stutts Road Church of Christ.

 

The family would like to send special thanks to Dr. Bartmess, Dr. Balbaki, and the nurses on the 3rd floor at ECM Hospital for the excellent care provided for their mother.

Daughter: Cheryl Baker and husband Danny

 

 

Brother: Jimmy Smith

 

 

Grandchildren: Lori Glover and husband Brandon, Andrew Cooper, Hope Baker, Jeffery Holt, and Lisa Blevins

 

 

Great-grandchildren: Mallory and Brennon Glover

 

 

Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Cooper; her parents James Ezra and Vera Mae Smith; and her sisters Sarah Butler and Margaret Mitchell.

 

 

Visitation will be Friday, December 7, 2012 from 6-8:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at Stutts Road Church of Christ with Bro. Charles Kretzer officiating. The casket will lie in state at the church from 1-2:00 P.M. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery.
