Shirley Bragg “Shelby” Herchenhahn Wilson, 82, of Decatur, passed away on August 23, 2023. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 27, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home with the celebration of life service beginning at 2:00 PM with Rayford Milligan officiating. She will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery.
Shelby is survived by her children, Jeffery Lee Freeman (Janie) of Decatur, AL, Kirk Bradley Freeman (Aimee) of Trinity, AL, David Strickland (Toni) of Wetumpka, AL, Richard Darren Wilson of Decatur, AL, and Stephen Daniel Wilson of Decatur, AL; grandchildren, Josh Freeman, Kamille Smith (David), Logan Wilson, Meagan Wilson (Landon), Danielle Strickland, and Emily Strickland; several great grandchildren; sister, Margaret Clark; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J C “Dick” Wilson; parents, William A. “Dime” Herchenhahn and Linnie Mae Walker Herchenhahn; brothers, Elbert “Leon” Herchenhahn and William Harvey Herchenhahn.
Shelby was a beautiful woman full of strength and dignity. She dedicated her life to God and to her family.

Pallbearers will be Greg Marshall, Ricky Marshall, Josh Freeman, Logan Wilson, Owen Moore, Joey Smith, and Brian Armor.
