Mrs. Shirley Brady of New Market went to be with the Lord on Monday morning. She was 72. Mrs. Brady loved children and had worked for more than 30 years at Locust Grove Baptist Church Daycare where she served as assistant daycare director. She was also a faithful Christian and a member of Riverton Free Holiness Church for over 40 years.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, James & Jeanette Harbin.
She leaves behind her husband of 54 years, Barry Brady; her son, Matthew (Tiffany) Brady; her granddaughters, Kacie (Brandon) Spence and Allison Brady; her grandson, Harrison Brady; her sister, Mary Campbell; nephews: Jeromy (Stacy) Campbell and Benjamin Campbell; her sister-in-law Beth (David) Countess; her nephews, Adam (Megan) Countess, Randy (Hailey) Brady, and Shawn (Whitney) Brady; her niece, Amanda (Josh) Feemster. She is also survived by numerous other loved ones and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12pm until 2pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:30pm at Miller Cemetery with Brother William Cantrell officiating.
Shirley will be remembered for her love for others, for her church, and for spending time with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren.
