Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Shirley Boswell Mills, age 72, of Winchester. Miss Shirley passed from this life on October 24, 2021, while at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro. She was the only child born to John W. and Mavis Tucker Boswell. Miss Boswell received a Master’s Degree in Education and taught for many years at Kentucky School for the Blind. She later became the school Administrator before returning to the classroom to teach. After 30 years in Education, she retired and enjoyed her many trips to the Great Smoky Mountains. The mountain was her most favored place to be, and just happened to be one of her last places to visit a few days prior to her passing. She is preceded in death by her parents. She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memories, her only child, son, Christopher Mills of Winchester and special cousin, Karen Brazier and her husband Terry also of Winchester. The family will receive friends on Thursday October 28, 2021 between the hours of 5:00-8:00 at Watson-North Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Friday October 29, 2021 at 2:00 o’clock. Interment will be at Watson-North Memorial Park where Miss Shirley will be laid to rest beside of her parents. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Dr. Rev. Michael Clark will be officiating.
