Shirley Ann Powell  Funeral service for Shirley Ann Powell, 74, will be Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Phillip Hines officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Corinth Cemetery, Cullman County. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 11, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Mrs. Powell passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, September 8, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born June 21, 1950, in Cullman County, to Maelon Hollis Clements and Cora Evalene Lawson Clements, who preceded her in death.

She was an Army nurse for 2 years, serving from 1976 to 1978. She then continued her nursing career for 26 years. She was a devoted Christian wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Shirley “Mawmaw” enjoyed vacationing with her family. She especially loved the beach, as she felt it brought her closer to the Lord. She was an avid believer and prayed daily for her family anbd loved ones.

Survivors include

Husband – Douglas “Buddy” Powell

Son – Derek Powell (Cassi)

Daughters- Valerie Cobb (Chris)
Holly Allen (Stacy)

Sister – Mary Lipsey (David)

Grandchildren –
Britny Holt (Luke), Brandi West (Aaron),
Jacob Rozell (Sam), Emmett Powell,
Jackson Powell, and Jackson Allen.

Great Grandchildren –
Brynleigh Holt, Addy Ruth Holt,
Harper Holt, Rowan West,
Holland West, and Cooper Allen.

Aunt – Dot Bolzle

Niece – Anisa Lipsey Penn

Great Niece – Cassidy DiLeva

Pallbearers will be Jacob Rozell, Emmett Powell, Jackson Powell, Luke Holt, Aaron West, and Jackson Allen.
