Shirley Ann Martin, 70, of Ardmore died Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born November 23, 1952, to James O. (Jimmie) Brock and Helen Smith Brock. She was a 1971 graduate of Ardmore High School, as was her high school sweetheart and future husband, Michael Lynn Martin. They were married on January 21, 1972.
Shirley was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband; and a sister, Debbie Brock O’Rear; father-in-law, Howard Martin; brother-in-law Randall Martin; and a nephew Kyle Nelson
She is survived by daughters, Jennifer Lynn Martin and Melissa Ann Martin, both of Ardmore; 3 grandchildren, Austin Michael (Carle)Baker, Logan Grant(Megan) Sims and Allison Danielle Colwell; 4 great-grandchildren Ava, Ryland, Rosabella, and Owen; brothers James David (Joan) Brock of Ardmore and Danny Lee Brock of Rockford, Illinois; mother-in-law Audrey Bond Martin, and sisters-in-law Wanda Martin, Ivey (Kermett) Nelson and Pamela (Robert) Martin. 3 nieces and 4 nephews; and best friend Judy Billions.
Visitation for Mrs. Martin will be Wednesday, August 16th, 2023, from 12:00-1:45 pm, at Limestone Chapel Funeral, with the funeral service to follow at the funeral home, at 2:00 pm. Burial will be at Sylone Cemetery.
First cousins will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be her nephew Timmy Beddingfield, brother-in-law Mike O’Rear, and Shayne Maddox.
