Sheryl Sue Kidney Stiles, 64 of Huntsville, died peacefully at home April 4, 2020.
Sheryl was born October 9, 1955 in Lawrence, Kansas to the late Benjamin Lee and Dixie Forsen Kidney. Ben and Dixie moved their family several times with Sheryl’s sister Kathy born in Wichita, Kansas; and their sister Laurie born in Huntsville, Alabama. They also lived in Fort Walton, FL; League City, TX; Lacey’s Spring, AL and Elkton, TN in their many moves. She is a longtime resident of Huntsville staying here when her parents and sisters moved to Florence AL in 1976 and then Lexington, NC in 1977. She graduated from Grissom High School and attended the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She was a longstanding member of First Christian Church Huntsville where she served in many leadership roles (including elder and deacon), participated in small groups including quilting/choir, and enjoyed her years as a preschool teacher. Sheryl enjoyed and had success in both Tupperware and Mary Kay; earning cars at each.

Sheryl never knew a stranger and made friends very easily with her sweet smile, loving heart, and strong faith which shone brightly to all who met her. She was connected to many people through several bible study and support groups in the community where she built strong relationships and impacted many lives. Most importantly, she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

Sheryl is preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Dixie Kidney, and her nephew Jacob Foster Nance.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Mark; daughter, Shawna and fiancé, Robbie; son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Lauren; and son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Meleah. She was the proud grandmother to five grandchildren, Reagan (5), Henry (2), Benjamin and Caroline (10 months), and Evelyn, who will be born this summer. She is also survived by her two sisters, Kathy Hartsoe (husband, Rick and daughters, Samantha and Kirsten), and Laurie Nance (husband, Quintin, late son, Jacob, and daughter Alexa).

A celebration of life will be held at First Christian Church Huntsville at a later date to be announced.
