Sherry Winn Bright, age 68, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022 at Brookwood Medical Center, Birmingham, Alabama. Ms. Bright was born November 20, 1953 in Tennessee to Robert Glenis Winn and Minnie Lee Ellenburg Winn. Sherry was married to Billy Haskel Bright who preceded her in death (October 2016). Sherry enjoyed gardening in her free time. She also enjoyed coaching T-ball and softball at Ryan Elementary School.
Ms. Bright is survived by her son, Matthew Bright (Niki); sisters, Pat Hill (Howard) and Sue Keilman; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Robert and Minnie Winn; siblings, Joy Bailey, Evelyn Haynes, Betty Yates, Myra Pica, Glenda Mullins, Robert Winn, Leon Winn and Cecil Winn.
The family has elected cremation. A memorial service for Ms. Bright is planned for Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel in Arab, Alabama. Brother Lavon Winn officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that memorial donations be made to the Dementia Society of America or to the American Society for the prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
