Sherry Collette Griep, age 80, of Guntersville, Alabama, passed away on July 18, 2024, at Barfield Health Care. Born to the late Olen and Hazel Colvin in Geraldine, Alabama, Sherry lived a life filled with love and family. She is survived by her sons, Scott Head (Missy) and Chris Head (Tammy); her stepson, Casey Griep (Amy); her brother, Freddie Colvin; and her beloved grandchildren, Trevor Holliday (Heather), David Head, Amy Peek (Richard), Olivia Griep, Leighton Griep, Landry Griep, and Mary Scott Head; 5 great grandchildren; host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Griep; her sister, Frankie Kamin; and her grandparents, Ruth and Theo Johnson.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 22, 2024, at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends starting at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Marshall Memorial Gardens. Sherry will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
