Sherry Ann Garrett Thomas was born March 22, 1958 in Corinth, MS the daughter of the late Edward Clay and Irene Elizabeth Pipkin Garrett.

She was united in marriage to Tracy Lee Thomas on August 28, 2015.

Sherry worked for 16 years as a line foreman at Spectrum Corporation in Hornsby, TN. She was also employed by Cato’s in Jackson and Selmer, where she served as store manager. She was an avid hunter and fisherman, joining her husband at every opportunity. Sherry was a member of the Hornsby Baptist Church.

Sherry departed this life on September 10, 2017 in Tupelo, Mississippi at the age of 59 Years, 5 Months, 19 Days. She is survived by her husband Tracy Lee Thomas of Selmer, TN; three daughters: Janson Newman of Middleton, TN, Hannah Nicole Thomas of Bethel Springs, TN, Sarah Jewel Thomas of Bethel Springs, TN; two sons, Justin Atkinson and wife Heather of Lawton, TN and Noah Wayne Thomas of Bethel Springs, TN; three grandchildren: Landon Newman, Abby Gail Newman, Bailey Anna Atkinson; four sisters: Kathy Sipes and husband Clifford of Medina, TN, Mary Jane Castleberry and husband Jerry of Bolivar, TN, Sharon Rickman and Gaylon Harris, both of Medon, TN; two brothers, J. D. Moore and wife Faye of Bolivar, TN, Paul Moore and wife Becky of Mercer, TN; a sister-in-law, Kerri Bizzell and husband Ray of Selmer, TN; and many extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by a step-father, Richard Moore; step-mother, Eddie Beth Garrett; her mother-in-law and step father-in-law, Patsy and Steve McManus; two sisters, Yvonne Moore and Hilda Yates.
