Tim Latch officiating.  Visitation will be Wednesday, February 28, 2024, from 4PM until 6PM and Thursday from 9AM until time of service.  Burial will follow at Peoples Cemetery.

Born December 8, 1961, in Tippah County, Sherri was the daughter of Billie Sue Childs Rowell of Ripley and the late F.L. “Spud” Rowell.  She was a 1979 graduate of Falkner High School, continued her education at Northeast Mississippi Community College and Blue Mountain College receiving her bachelors of science of education.  Sherri was a valued employee of Bench Craft and Dixie-Net over the past 30 years.

Sherri was a devout Christian and faithful member of Peoples Baptist Church where she began singing in the youth choir. Sherri continued singing with the Baptist Student Union ensembles at Northeast Community College and Blue Mountain College.  While at NEMCC she was selected to tour abroad in Europe where the group performed in many different countries. With a voice of an angel, Sherri found herself singing at weddings and funerals throughout Tippah County and even made her way to the stage at the Grand OLE Opry.

Sherri will be remembered as a fun, loyal, always laughing, beautiful soul who adored her nieces and nephews. To whom she introduced classic movies, a wide variety of music and the love of travel.  She was the aunt that took nieces and nephews to plays and concerts from NYC to Las Vegas, to California.

Those left to cherish her memories include her mother, Billie Sue Childs Rowell, of Ripley, three sisters, Juanita Isbell (Randy) of Columbia TN, Carol Harding (Bill) of Singer Island, FL, and Kim Barnett (Charlie) of Water Valley, two brothers, Carl Rowell (Allison) and Craig Rowell (Stephanie) both of Ripley, eight nieces, Courtney Goolsby (Jason), Kristin Collier (Cole), Kayla Douglas (Chase), Lindsey Isbell, Caroline McCroskey (Sean), Emily Logan Rowell, Savannah Clemmer, Josey Byrd, three nephews, Dan Isbell (Cheyenne), Reid Isbell (Jordon), and Caleb Rowell (Jocelynn), six great nieces, Alia, Liza Jane, Katherine, Lela Gwen, Griffin and Marion Shea, and five great nephews, Graham, Dean, Jackson, Boone, and Oak.

I will lift up my eyes to the hills.  Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.  Psalms 121:1-2.

Ripley Funeral Home invites you to share memories with the Rowell family.
