Shem was a Renaissance man of very few words who loved God, family, and country. He was a member of Saint John the Baptist Church, Madison, AL. He was a perfectionist and enjoyed the finer things in life. He did what he had to do. He was passionate about Christmas. He loved hanging Christmas lights, taking photos with a real camera, enjoying fine red wines, Charleston art, Mario Puzo books, Andrea Bocelli music, going to Disney World with his twins, and letting them climb on him, pretending like he was a mountain. “Shem had a heart of gold.” He was nice to everyone, even those who did not deserve it. He was a gentleman.

He always was interested in history, being Italian, and Ducati motorcycles. He was happy to grill steaks, to fish, and to be on the beach with his wife Yoko watching the sunset. He enjoyed Mexican food and living in El Paso. He could watch “The Scent of a Woman” over and over. If he bought you a gift, you would actually like it.
