Shellia Joan Kenaum Strickland, 70, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Saturday, July 14, 2012, at her residence. Mrs. Strickland was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and a homemaker. She worked at Genesco Shoe Factory for fifteen years, and was a member of the Midway Homemakers Club. Visitation is scheduled for 6:00 until 9:00 p.m., Sunday, July 15, at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 16, at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Blake Kenaum and Bro. Scott Webber. Interment will follow in Mt. Gilead Cemetery. Pallbearers include Briley Strickland, Kyle Strickland, Brandon Strickland, Hunter Strickland, Eric Baxter, Chris Dickinson, and Jarrett Kenaum. Honorary Pallbearers include Levi Webber and Wesley Webber. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Tommy Strickland of Iuka, MS; two sons, Tommy Ray Strickland and wife, Michelle, of Lebanon, TN, and Stevie Strickland and wife, Kim, of Corinth, MS; one daughter, Giovanni “Gigi” Davis-Cody and husband, Bill, of Tupelo, MS; two brothers, Jimmy Kenaum of Nolansville, TN, and Gary Kenaum of Iuka, MS; three sisters, Mildred Larimer of Camden, TN, and Marcia Keene and Tawanda Baxter-Finchum both of Nashville, TN; six grandchildren, Amanda Abele and husband, John, of Deatsville, AL, Brittany Strickland, Briley Strickland, and Brandon Strickland, all of Corinth, MS, and Kyle Strickland and Hunter Strickland, both of Lebanon, TN; and one great-grandchild, Taylor Abele of Deatsville, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bro. Elbert and Ocean Rhodes Kenaum; two brothers, David and Buddy Kenaum; and two infant sisters.
