Funeral services for Mrs. Shelia Delane Skaggs, age 64, will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, March 8, 2025 in the Faith Community Church in Humboldt. Visitation will be Saturday from 1 PM until service time.
Mrs. Skaggs, the clinical manager for the Eye Care Clinic for over thirty years and member of Humboldt First Presbyterian Church, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at her home.
Mrs. Skaggs would spend her spare time camping, riding motorcycles and growing flowers. She greatly enjoyed retirement in her final years. She will be fondly remembered for her long and important relationships with friends, family and her dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Margaret Moore; and a son, Brennen McCormick.
Mrs. Skaggs is survived by her husband, Doug Skaggs; a daughter, Zoe Bass of Jackson; a step son, Ethan Skaggs (Sara) of Memphis; two sisters, Diane Henderson (Jim) of Athens, AL and Donna Ray (Bobby) of Three-Way; a brother, David Moore (Janet) of Martin; and three grandchildren, Vivian Skaggs, Fen Skaggs and Archer Skaggs.
