Shelia Ann May, 80, of Florence, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024, at her residence. Mrs. May graduated from the University of North Alabama with a B.S. degree. She was retired as secretary from the State Troopers Office.
Visitation will be Monday, March 4, 2024, from 12-2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating will be Sid Fulford.
Mrs. May was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Media Lankford.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Lane May; sons, Chris Willis and Brett May (Sandra); daughters, Lisa Cobb (Rick) and Kim Craig; sister, Mary David Collier (Wayne); grandchildren, Sidney Combs, Bethany Cobb, Nathan Cobb, Andrew Willis, Ashton Willis, Jackson Willis; great-grandchildren, Grayson and Haven Combs and Samuel Cobb.
A special thanks to Carol and Sandy for the care given to Mrs. May. Thank you to SouthernCare New Beacon Hospice and their staff, Amanda, Dana, Carmen, Emily, and Dr. Amber Olson for their care and help. Also, a special thank you to Lisa Cobb and Amanda Ramsey for their loving care.
Pallbearers will be Bill Price, Lance Price, Wayne Holden, Barry Thigpen, Scott Farmer, and Brandon Strait.
Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Collier and Tony McCarley.
