Shelia Ann Brumbalow passed away at her home on April 14, 2014 after an extended illness. She was a native of Lawrence County, TN and resided in Florence, Alabama. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Florence. She was a retired letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for thirty years, sixteen of those years as a carrier in Florence. Shelia grew up on a 100 acre cotton farm in Summertown, TN. She also attended Columbia State Community College. Shelia loved reading, traveling, sports, and spending time with her family.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 6 – 7 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home with a Liturgical service beginning at 7 p.m. in Greenivew Memorial Chapel. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Roy Runkle officiating. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her father, John William Cook, Sr. of Summertown, TN.
She is survived by her husband, Ron Brumbalow, two sons, Alexander Murdock, and Chris Brumbalow (wife Brandi); two grandchildren, Mason Murdock and Maeleigh Brumbalow, her mother, Thelma Cook of Lawrenceburg, TN, three sisters, Linda Johnson of Mt. Juliet, TN, Joan Cook of Leoma, TN, Jean Springer of Lawrenceburg, TN, and one brother, John Cook of Summertown, TN. She will be sadly missed.
