Shelby Wayne Smith, 60, of Ardmore, Alabama passed away at his home Wednesday, July 26, 2023. Shelby was born Tuesday, June 11, 1963 in Huntsville, Alabama to Cletus Smith and Katherine Reed Smith.
Shelby has lived in this area all his life and was an employee of Bankston Motor Homes. He enjoyed restoring old cars, was a Bama football fan and a prankster.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Eric Smith; sister, Mary Smith; and brothers, Terry Smith and Ricky Smith.
Shelby is survived by his wife, Sherry Smith; sons, Joshua (Kasaundra) Smith, Derek (Tiffany) Smith and John Culver; daughters, Kayla Smith, Kassie (AJ) Smith, Crimson Smith, Arya Smith, and Jacqueline Pollitz; sisters, Kay (Mike) Payne, Cathy (Carlton) Glover, Teresa (Jeff) Wilbanks, Samantha (Fred) Mitchell, and Vicki Thomas; grandchildren, Lina, Kayden, Hunter, Brian, Aiden, Addison and Ayden; many wonderful loving nieces and nephews; along with a host of friends.
A Visitation will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be Sunday, July 30, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Clarence Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, Alabama.
