Shelby Lewis Jackson was born January 19, 1954 in Lawrence county to the late Samuel & Annie Lee Shackelford Jackson. He was the fourth child of six children. He departed his earthly life at his home on June 5, 2013. Shelby was a very loving person who loved to make people laugh. He was affectionately known as “Moon” by those who knew and loved him most. He confessed his life to Christ at an early age and became a member of Bethlehem P.B. Church under the pastorship of Rev. Willie Brown.
Shelby leaves behind to cherish his memory three sons; Colby Jackson (Kimberly) of Decatur, AL, Shelby Lewis Jackson Jr. of Decatur, AL, Kevin Jackson of Harvest, AL, five sisters; Lee Pearl Jackson (John) Cherokee, AL, Lucille Scales, of Hillsboro, AL, Phyllis Glover (Charley) of Trinity, AL, Dorothy Jackson of Decatur, AL and Minnie Scales (Alfred) of Madison, AL, six grandchildren; Jordan, Kimbra, Emmanuel, Kayla, Evony and Lewis, four loving aunts, two loving uncles and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
