Shelby Jean Rich Clark, 88, of New Hope, passed away.

She loves working and an avid fan of Atlanta Braves and game shows. Bob Barker is her favorite game show host. Most of her life she didn’t like sitting still. Would rather be at work than anywhere else. But above all she loved her Grandchildren and would do anything she could for them. She was spunky, independent and one of the hardest working people anyone knows.

She was preceded in death by father, Ed Rich; mother, Ida Hall Rich; siblings, James Rich, Erma Morring, Anna Jo Spears, Edna Rich, and Baby Rich; and grandchild, Britney Mowry.

Surviving are children, Michael Clark (Marsha) and Denise Mowry (Brian); grandchildren, Hope Clark and Michael Clark II (Brittney); and great grandchild, Colton Clark (on his way).

Visitation will be Thursday, September 12, 2024 1pm to 2pm at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will follow at 2pm with Kathy Jo Spears officiating.

Special thanks to the family for always being there when we needed something and someone, to her friends and co-workers, with special thanks to Shelia Henry. And Heartlite Hospice, it is an amazing and wonderful thing each of you do. In lieu of flowers and gifts give to a Hospice or Dementia organization of your choice.

Thanks to everyone for all the prayers and thanks to our church First Baptist Church New Hope for all the food, cards and prayers. Thanks to Bethlehem Baptist Church in Hazel Green for the ramp. Everyone has been such a blessing.
