Shelba Dawson Marlar, 87, passed away Friday, September 15, 2023. The family will hold a service at a later date.
Shelba worked as a school bus driver for the Colbert County school system. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Oneal and Pauline Dawson; husband, John T. Marlar; sisters, Barabara McCreless and Francis Grissom; nephews, Thomas Grissom and Keith Waldrep; and niece, Trina Grissom.
Shelba is survived by her son, Johnny Marlar; sister, Charlotte Posey; and grandchildren, Chelsie Marlar and Kristi Hamm.
The family would like to give special thanks to Theresa Craft for her loving care.
