Sheila Selene Davis Wallace, born on November 9, 1956, in Jellico, TN. She was the cherished daughter of the late Walter Kelly and Bobbie Cleo Butcher Davis. As a secretary for Waynesboro Middle School, Sheila dedicated herself to her work and touched the lives of countless students and colleagues. She approached her responsibilities with grace and professionalism, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a kind word.
Sheila found solace and inspiration in her faith as an active member of Rays Chapel Baptist Church. Her deep spirituality guided her every step, providing her strength during the most challenging times. Beyond her professional and religious commitments, Sheila embraced life with an infectious enthusiasm. She found joy in the simple pleasures, whether it was cheering on her favorite Nascar drivers or admiring the vibrant blooms in her husband’s garden. She had a knack for bringing people together through her cooking and had an adventurous spirit that led her to explore new places whenever possible. But above all else, Sheila treasured time spent with her two grandchildren. Their laughter brought light to her eyes, and she cherished every moment, creating memories with them that would be forever etched in their hearts.
Sheila’s incredible strength shone brightly throughout her life as she faced a 13-year battle with cancer. Her unwavering faith in God became a testament to others, inspiring those around her to find hope even in the darkest of times.
On October 18, 2023, at the age of 66 years, 11 months, and 9 days, Sheila peacefully passed away in Waynesboro, TN.
She is survived by her husband Danny Leon Wallace of Waynesboro, TN; a daughter, Danielle Selene Wallace of Waynesboro, TN; two brothers, Larry Davis of Adamsville, TN, James Davis of Hazel Park, MI; two grandchildren, Carson Daniel Frazier, Emmy Reese Frazier.
In addition to her parents, Sheila was preceded in death by a brother, Rick Davis.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 22, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN.
Services will be held Sunday, October 22 at 3:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
Burial will follow at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetary in Nashville, TN, on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
