The local memorial service was held Saturday at King Cemetery for Sheila Harrison Harr of Columbia, South Carolina, who passed on May 21, 2016 following a lengthy battle with cancer. The graveside service in Wolf Springs, Alabama, officiated by James Storie, minister of First Christian Church, Florence, was held for Ms. Harr’s Alabama family members.
Ms. Harr, who was born in Erding, Germany, was 57 years old. She is survived by her sons Stuart and Ethan Harr; her parents, Bob and Jean Harrison; her mother, Gisela Myers; her brothers, Thomas Harrison and Michael Myers; several stepsiblings; and her best friend, Jennifer Daugherty.
Ms. Harr, who earned her Master’s degree in early childhood education at the University of South Carolina, taught pre-kindergarten children in the public school system of Columbia, South Carolina.
