Sheila Diane Gunnells Ogle

Sheila Diane Gunnells Ogle, 73, born November 30, 1947 in Gadsden, AL, passed away on January 27, 2021 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. Graveside service will be at 2pm, Monday, February 1, 2021 at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Remembrance of Sheila will be given by Rev. Rodger Collins. Collier Butler Funeral Home will direct services.

Sheila was a loving daughter, mother, nana, sister, and friend who always helped anyone who needed it and will always be remembered for her beautiful smile. She was a graduate of Emma Sansom High School Class of 1966. Sheila loved going to her high school reunions and spending time with the Rebel girls. She was retired from many years of working as a floral designer. Her grandchildren called her Nana, and were the lights of her life and brought her so much happiness and joy. She was so very proud of them and all of their accomplishments. Sheila also enjoyed music, dancing, and was an avid Alabama football fan. She enjoyed watching the games with her family and friends.

Her memories will be cherished by her children, Scott Ogle(Mary) and Stacie Ogle Bush(Louis); the father of her children, Robert Ogle; brother, Mike Gunnells; grandchildren, Kayla and Logan Ogle, Tyler, Chandler(Elizabeth), and Emma Bush; special cousins, Sherry Underwood and Julie Payne; aunt, Barbara Frazier; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; a host of other relatives and friends; special friends, Linda King, Bonnie Foreman, Linda Tuck, and Carolyn Muskett.

Sheila was preceded in death by her dad, Ernest Gunnells; her mother, Emma Gunnells; aunts, Edna Newton, Ruth Harris, Ruby Lumpkin, and Helen Helms; uncle, Melvin Gunnells.

Pallbearers will be Robert Ogle, Cres Underwood, Mike Underwood, Pat Bradford, Paul Bradford, and Donnie Bradford.

At the family’s request, due to Covid and health concerns of all attending, masks and social distancing will be required and enforced at all times.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made in Sheila’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
