It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother.
Sheila Darlene Edwards age 63, passed away peacefully at her home in Elora, Tennessee, on May 16th 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on June 4, 1960 in Winchester TN, she was the beloved daughter of the late Albert and Lucy Wiseman of Winchester. She grew up in Winchester and graduated from Franklin County High School . Sheila was known for her warm heart, strong personality , and unwavering love for her family.
She loved helping her patients find comfort in their end of life care before she retired from Amedisys Hospice Care. Her dedication and passion for her work touched the lives of many. She was admired for her professionalism, kindness, and willingness to go above and beyond to help her patients.
Outside of her professional life, Sheila had many passions and interests. She loved spending time watching her grandchildren play sports, cheering on her VOLS, watching politics, and cruising with her husband. She had a deep appreciation for family time and cooking. She enjoyed having all her kids and grandchildren together for any occasion watching them play kickball or cornhole.
But above all else, Sheila cherished her role as a loving mother and devoted wife. She was a constant source of support, guidance, and unconditional love. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she treasured every moment spent with them. She was so excited to meet her great grandson. She loved with her whole heart.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents the late Albert and Lucy Wiseman, her brothers late Charles Wiseman, Jr Wiseman, Ricky Wiseman and sister Brenda Morris. Sister in law Angel McCreary.
Sheila is survived by her husband Roger Edwards of Elora whom she shared 41 years of marriage filled with love and laughter. She will be forever remembered by her children Steven ( Linzie) Wiseman, Felicia Matthews, Roger (Cassie) Edwards, Tiffany Edwards, Ashley Edwards, Amber (Stephen) Matthews, Brandy (Lance) Wellman. Her adored Grandchildren Mikaylie Edwards, Chesarea Suhr, Aubrie Suhr, Karrista Suhr, Braxton and Nixon Wiseman, Brenna and Gabby Edwards, Alena Edwards, Dashuan Reynolds, Airiana Hill , Jaslynn and MilliJoe Matthews, Cayden Roberts and Laken Wellman all who brought immense joy to her life. Her sisters and brothers Shirley (Nelson) Bowen, Ann (Edward) Tubet, Jimmy (Lisa) Wiseman,Houston (Regina) Wiseman, James(Cindy) Wiseman, Patricia (Dwight) Rowe, Bobbie Wiseman, Robert (Veronica) Wiseman, Mindy (Marc) McGuire; Sister in Laws, Tammy (Carlos) Erazo, Felicia Tarrant, Kay Simpson.
In memory of Sheila Wiseman, a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Moore Cortner. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024, 5:00-8:00pm. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are invited to gather wearing Orange and celebrate her life, sharing stories and memories that will forever live on in our hearts.
