Sheffield Education Foundation winter fundraiser features chicken stew and music

MascotSHEFFIELD-The Sheffield Education Foundation is cooking up chicken stew and some awesome entertainment.
The foundation’s annual winter fundraiser is Saturday, Jan. 31 at Sheffield High School, 2800 19th Ave. Chicken stew will be served 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. in the school’s cafeteria. A concert featuring Jimmy Johnson and Will McFarlane of the Swampers along with Doctors, Lawyers and Such, Gary Baker and Dr. Eric Kirkman begins at 7 p.m. in the school’s auditorium.
Two of the original Swampers, Jimmy Johnson and David Hood, are Sheffield High School alumni and were recently inducted into the Sheffield Education Foundation’s Registry of Honor. Hood is working in Europe and is unable to attend this year’s concert.
Tickets are $15 and may be purchased at the door, from any Foundation Board Member or at the Sheffield Board of Education
