SHEFFIELD – It was big. Really big! Five or six thousand friends got together firday night along Montgomery Avenue in their best Halloween garb. They were collecting candy and other seasonal goodies… Some of the Sheffield City Council were good sports and took turns in the Killen Party Shop’s Dunk Tank. Of course, the guy who got dunked more than anybody else was Sheffield mayor, Ian Sanford. (No real surprise there…) Lots of Shoals civic groups, churches and area businesses took part in the festivities. There were helium balloons from the Quad-Cities Daily and Young’s Welding… Hay rides from Sheffield Hardware…A costume contest up at the Warehouse 414 outdoor stage. Hot dogs and hamburgers from the Sheffield Housing Authority and the City Council…
It was really a fun night!
The Quad-Cities Daily was on hand to photograph the event and we present the photos here. Enjoy!
