Shavon Patrice Agnew was born on May 23, 1989 in Detroit, MI. She went to glory on July 30, 2024, at the Baldwyn Nursing Facility in Baldwyn, MS.
In 2003, Pastor Clarence and Katherine Agnew welcomed her into their home with open arms. She was officially adopted by the Agnew Family in 2005. She attended Poe Developmental School in Detroit, MI, Jerry L. White in Detroit, MI, and Verona Elementary School in Verona, MS. Shavon had a contagious smile and bright beautiful eyes that would melt your heart. She touched everyone who knew her with her loving, kind, and gentle spirit. Our hearts will be forever filled with joy and honor because we were able to be graced with her beautiful presence.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, August 4, 2024 in the Sadie M. Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors in Tupelo with Bishop Willie Thornton officiating. Visitation will be from 1 PM to service time Sunday only at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Porter’s Memorial Cemetery. For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed at 2 PM on Sunday at hollandfuneraldirectors.com/live-streaming. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to serve their friends.
Shavon leaves to cherish her precious memories a loving father, Clarence Agnew, Sr.; three brothers, Andre (Yolanda) Johnson of Racine, WI, Clarence (Karla) Agnew of Las Vegas, NV, and Cornelius Agnew of Tupelo, MS; one sister, Courtney Mullins of Tupelo, MS; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Shavon was preceded in death by her mother, Katherine Agnew; grandparents, James and Alberta Salters Agnew, J.C. and Josephine Hill Walker; and sister, Amber Nicole Agnew.
