On December 11, 2024, Shaunda Nicole Harper transitioned from this earthly world, gaining her heavenly wings.
Shaunda was born on October 7, 1983, in Amory, Mississippi, to Casia Harper Cordova and Ronnie Dilworth. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and was a devoted member and pianist at Prairie Mount United Methodist Church, where she served faithfully until her untimely passing. A proud graduate of Nettleton High School, Shaunda went on to earn a degree in electrical technology from East Mississippi Community College
Shaunda embodied the true spirit of love, kindness, and service. As a mother, friend, and dedicated servant, she touched the lives of all who knew her. Her bright smile, infectious laughter, and unwavering compassion made her a beloved presence in every room. Shaunda’s many accomplishments include being a skilled pianist, a certified technician, the proud owner of Harper’s Cleaning Services, and a cherished member of the Family Echoes. However, her greatest joy and achievement was being a devoted mother and grandmother to her children and grandson.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her mother, Casia Cordova of Nettleton; her father, Ronnie Dilworth of Fulton, KY; three sons, Jalen Scott, Jarriet Smith Jr., and Jordan Smith, all of Nettleton; her brother, Marcus Harper of Ft. Pierce, FL; her sisters, Jasmine McKinney of Tupelo, and Deresha Parker ; her grandson, Khalan Scott; her grandparents, Louis and Geanette Harper; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Shaunda was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Rev. John and Zelda Mae Griffin, Rev. Odis and Rozena Harper, and her aunt and uncle, Bobby and Shirley Walton.
Though her time with us was far too short, Shaunda’s legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
